UPDATE-4/2/22- The foster family who have had Roland for a few days said he is getting along well with their other dogs and is playful with them. He sleeps in his crate at night and has not had any accidents in it. He is doing well with house training. He likes playing in the backyard but also likes being in the house with the family. He is super sweet and loves attention.
Roland is one easy going guy! As soon as he arrived we could tell is was a really sweet beagle boy and when he got to his foster home he fit right in with no problems. There does seems to be some question about Roland's age. The shelter had not given us an estimate on his paperwork, so when we took him to our vet he said "suspect age about 10 based on teeth - may be younger depending on previous care, home environment." Well...the way Roland runs around and plays with the other dogs in his foster home, and the fact that he was clearly neglected and possibly abandoned led us to post him as eight. But whatever number we assign to this fellow's life, he is still without doubt one sweet beagle! Foster mom also says he does well in his crate and is very loving! Roland did test positive for heartworms and is scheduled for treatment mid-April.
