Rocco is a gorgeous boy who was desperate for rescue. He was alternately hiding and foraging for food in a neighborhood and was being shot at! A rescuer managed to catch him and get him to safety. Rocco has been with one of our Louisiana fosters since 10/5/23. His foster mom says Rocco is in his teenage phase. He's very interested in other dogs, always wanting to know what is going on and loves to play. He understands the house rules and does okay on his own, but he will break the rules with just a little encouragement from his peers. Rocco enjoys a good cuddle in bed. He is moderate energy, easy to handle and doesn't mind being picked up. He does well on leash and enjoys meeting people on his walks, but does want to chase cats and anything that runs. He is pretty quiet, only barking when he plays or sees someone outside the fence. Rocco is heartworm negative and our plan is to bring him to Florida on December 1st.
